My First Visit to Gulf Shore, Alabama
During my recent trip to Gulf Shore, Alabama, I was completely blown away by the stunning beauty of the location and the warmth of its people. The trip was prompted by a good friend from Survivor 50 who was hosting a watch party, but little did I know that I would fall in love with the area itself.

A Weekend of Discovery
My weekend was filled with breathtaking views and delightful encounters. The beaches were just the beginning; the landscape was dotted with charming spots that showcased the area's true charm. The locals were incredibly welcoming, making the experience even more memorable. Their kindness added a personal touch that made me feel right at home. Out friend took us spearfishing and biking so we could experience a little bit of the local vibe.

Beyond the Beaches
While the sun and sand were enticing, I discovered that Gulf Shore offers so much more. From exploring nature trails to meeting the people, every moment was a new adventure. For live music, shopping, and entertainment, head to The Wharf in nearby Orange Beach. This complex features shops, restaurants, and a marina, along with a stage for concerts and festivals. It’s a great place to experience the local vibe in the evening. I found that the Wharf was a super fun shopping area where visitors can find super cute of small and locally owned businesses. I was grateful for the opportunity to experience many of them, meet the owners and employees because this was where the Survivor watch party took place. My friend Jonathan from Survivor 50 knew everyone there! ;-)
This visit was not just a getaway; it was a revelation. Gulf Shore, with its beautiful landscapes and kind-hearted people, has captured my heart. I look forward to returning and exploring even more of what this wonderful area has to offer.
